縣府為金大招生釋利多

In order to increase the enrollment (1) of outstanding students at all universities in Kinmen, county magistrate Li, Wo-Shi released more benefits to KMIT, soon to be the National Quemoy University. According to Li, the county government will contribute some financial aid to the best 20 students in every class currently enrolled as well as to students that enroll in the future at the newly upgraded National Quemoy University. At the same time, he is also willing to provide scholarship funding to mainland Chinese students. With all the incentives (2) provided, the Kinmen county government is anticipating that the continuation of the development of higher education will also bring prosperity for Kinmen.
　 為了吸引優秀的學生來金門就讀大學，金門縣長李沃士釋出利多，將由縣府對新成立的金門大學入學新生及各年級全班前20名學生提供學雜費補助；同時也願提供獎助學金給陸生，期盼透過高等教育帶動金門發展。

Magistrate Li pointed out a former county government slogan: "In the absence of troops, the school is built; soldiers leave, and students come," which the government believes actually reveals their proactive (3) attitude in recruiting mainland Chinese students.
　 李縣長指出，縣府曾提出一個口號：「走了部隊，來了學校；走了軍人，來了學生」，充分顯示縣府對招收陸生的積極態度。

Each student currently enrolled in the National Kinmen Institute of Technology (the future National Quemoy University) can receive $10,000 of student financial aid, with an additional $4000 allowance for transportation, bringing the total possible aid to $14,000. Magistrate Li says that, according to the plan of the county government, future scholarship money is expected to increase to $20,000 once the school is renamed as National Quemoy University on August 1st.
　 目前就讀國立金門技術學院的學生每人每年可領取獎助就學金1萬元，交通津貼4000元，合計1萬4000元，李縣長說，依照縣府的規畫，預定8月1日改名為金門大學後，未來獎助就學金可望調高至2萬元。
