申報世遺、發展綠能 可望獲中央奧援

Kinmen County Magistrate Li, Wo-Shi visited the Council for Cultural Affairs (CCA) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) on August 4. Kinmen would like to file an application (1) for World Cultural Heritage based on its unique features: the southern Fujian culture, and the battlefield relics (2). During the meeting with Magistrate Li, Emile Chih-jen Sheng (盛治仁), minister of CCA stated that the CCA will list Kinmen as an example, and organize a special team to coordinate and negotiate between relevant central authorities and county government to assist Kinmen with the application.
　 金門縣長李沃士4日赴台拜會行政院文化建設委員會與經濟部。有關金門縣以閩南文化及戰地遺跡特色，欲申報登錄為世界文化遺產一案，文建會主委盛治仁表示，會將金門列為示範點，並特設一個「工作小組」，專門協調溝通各相關單位協辦金門申報世界遺產。

Developing Kinmen into a green energy island is one of Li, Wo-Shi's important policies. Magistrate Li visited Shih, Yen-Shiang (施顏祥), the minister of MOEA, on August 4. MOEA agreed to assist Kinmen in developing a Green Energy Industrial Area. Shih also agreed to do more research toward the importing of capital and labor from mainland China.
建設金門為綠能低碳島是李沃士重要施政目標之一。李沃士4日拜會經濟部長施顏祥時，獲得經濟部應允，協助金門開發綠能工業專區。有關李縣長請求的特別開放陸資及陸工員額問題，施顏祥也同意再行研究。

●1. file an application-提出申請。其中file當名詞是檔案、卷宗的意思；當動詞則是提出（申請）、提起（訴訟）之意。
●2. relic-(n)遺跡；紀念物。同樣有遺跡之意的尚有ruin一字。relic通常指從歷經戰亂或時間摧殘所遺留下來的東西；ruin則通常指毀壞、崩潰的狀態，或指建築物的斷垣殘壁。
