花蛤季賽馬重現往昔飆馬風華

Kinmen's first horse race took place on July 23rd at this year's Clam Season festivities. The eight horses and their riders started off at Cheng Gong, riding towards Shang Yi along the beach. White sands, clear skies, and the blue sea painted a beautiful scene for those who witnessed the race. Due to the confrontation (1) across straits, a legendary (2) event like this has not been seen in Kinmen for over 50 years.
「第一屆金門賽馬競速比賽」昨天在花蛤季活動中進行；八匹馬在八個騎手的驅策下，從「成功」奔向「尚義」；在藍天、碧海、銀濤、白沙之間，成就一幅好風光。像這樣的賽事，因為戰爭的緣故，睽違了大約有五十年之久。

This year's horse race was organized by Kinmen County Government and Jin Hu Township, and was sponsored by Kinmen Equestrian (3) Committee. The race was modeled according to international rules, with the length of track set at 1600 meters. Gu, Ke-Ya's beloved "Joyce" came in 1st place with a time of 2:2:04, followed by "Dunhill," with a time of 2:15:26. Third place went to "Amy," 2:19:12; fourth to "Jordan," 2:25:25; 5th place to "Lady Gaga," 2:26:25; and sixth place to "Little Flower," 3:26:63.
這次的賽馬活動是由金門縣政府、金湖鎮公所主辦，由金門縣馬術委員會協辦。比賽依照國際賽馬規則，進行一千六百公尺的競速，結果由騎手顧克亞和他的愛馬「JOYCE」得到第一名，成績是二分十二秒零四。第二名「DUNHILL」；成績二分十五秒二六。第三名「AMY」；成績二分十九秒一二。第四名「JORDAN」；成績二分二十五秒二五。第五名「LADY.GA.GA」；成績二分二十六秒二五。第六名「小花」；成績三分二十六秒六三。

The anchorman for this event was Li, Zhen-Xian (李政憲), Secretary Director of the Republic of China Equestrian Committee. Director Li expressed his gratitude to those who provided the beach area for the race. He felt that Kinmen's sandy beaches are suitable for the further development of horse racing and steeplechases.
主持比賽的人是中華民國馬術協會祕書長李政憲。他感謝主辦單位提供很好的海岸線支持賽馬活動；他覺得金門的沙灘軟硬適中，很適合發展賽馬，甚至可以更進一步舉辦障礙賽。
