縣府組團至東南亞訪問

To console (1) overseas Chinese, the County Government formed a team of delegates (2) consisting of administrators from the Fujian Provincial Government, Kinmen County Council, and KMIT to visit Southeast Asia. The group started in Kaohsiung July 4th, and traveled through Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore, meeting with local Kinmenese Associations within these three countries, ending on July 11th.
縣府為宣慰海外僑胞，結合福建省政府、金門縣議會，以及國立金門技術學院共同組成訪問團，4日從高雄啟程，前往馬來西亞、汶萊、新加坡等3國，探慰當地金門籍鄉僑及拜會僑社，11日返國。

Prominent (3) figures in the visiting group, such as the heads of the County Government, Provincial Government, and County Council, and the principal of KMIT, participated in the meeting with local Kinmenese in Southeast Asia. They left behind a strong impact and a deep impression with their overseas Kinmenese fellowmen. The warm reception from the overseas Kinmenese from different associations also greatly moved the visiting group.
此行包括省府、縣府、議會、金技院等首長、校長都全員到齊，讓海外金門鄉親印象深刻。各地金門會館鄉親的熱情相迎，也讓金門代表團非常感動。

During the visit, County Magistrate Li, Wo-Shi invited overseas Kinmenese to return to Kinmen next year to join the Centurial Anniversary of ROC. Li also advised that a standing body (4) should be established to facilitate related activities of the "World Kinmen Day".
訪程中，縣長李沃士逐一邀請海外鄉親明年返回金門參加中華民國「建國百年」系列活動，並出席「世界金門日」活動。李沃士並倡議成立常設組織，推動「世界金門日」相關活動。

The Kinmen delegation called on (5) many prominent overseas Kinmenese during the visit, including Malaysia's Yeoh, Tiong-Lay (楊忠禮) (6) and Tan, Seng-Leong (陳成龍); Singapore's Wee, Cho-Yaw (黃祖耀), Teo, Woon-Tiong (張允中), and Teo, Siong-Seng (張松聲); Indonesia's Budiono Widodo (黃進益); and Brunei's Goh, King-Chin (吳景進) and Lau, Ah-Kok (劉錦國). Among them, Li, Si-Xun (李錫循，音譯), the acting chairman of Selangor Kim Mooi Association, Klang, suggested that Kinmenese Associations from different places should act as the local franchisees (7) of Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc. He believed this move has the strong potential to open up Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor's overseas sales channel. Aside from that, some prominent overseas Kinmenese looked forward to the completion of the Kinmen Bridge, and the opening of a casino in Kinmen. They hoped the county government will take the initiative (8) to work towards the development of these worthy undertakings.
金門代表團此次拜訪了諸多傑出的海外金門鄉親及僑領，包括馬來西亞楊忠禮，陳成龍，新加坡黃祖耀，張允中、張松聲，印尼黃進益，汶萊吳景進，劉錦國等。其中，巴生雪蘭莪金門會館署理主席李錫循建議，可由各地金門會館擔任金酒在當地的總代理，相信可以協助打開金酒銷售通路。另有多位海外僑領為「金廈大橋」及金門開辦「博奕」催生，希望縣府大膽跨出這一步。
