廖萬隆提「大膽建言」引發震撼

The KMT held its first Central Standing Committee meeting on January 5th. In the meeting, the KMT Central Standing Committee and Mainland-Taiwan Business Council Chairman Liao, Wan-Long (廖萬隆) presented "bold" suggestions, which triggered a shock among listeners. Liao, Wan-Long emphasized that he often passes through Kinmen when commuting between Taiwan and Mainland, and has a special feeling for the island. He specifically gave some suggestions for "the withdrawal of military from Da-Dan (literally means bold), Er-Dan Islands" and "72 hour visa-free for Mainland tourists", and hoped that these would greatly benefit the development of tourism in Kinmen.
中華民國一百年的國民黨首次中常會5日召開，國民黨中常委、大陸漳州台商會會長廖萬隆在會中提出「大膽」建言引起震撼，廖萬隆強調，他常常透過金門的小三通往來兩岸，對金門有特殊的情感，特別提出「大膽、二膽撤軍」與「陸客72小時免簽證」建言，希望對全力發展觀光的金門有所助益。
Liao also pointed out that Mainland and Taiwan both pursue peace, with the reduction of hostile conditions being the first issue addressed. Removal of military presence on Da-Dan and Er-Dan Islands would have little impact on Taiwan's security, and would create a friendlier environment for negotiation across the straits. Liao also said that the "72 hour visa-free for Mainland tourists" is the request of Kinmen residents for developing tourism in Kinmen. He also believes that Kinmen should take the seeds of peace and plant them here, and not use troops and missiles to confront one another.
　 廖萬隆指出，兩岸要和平，就要先降低敵對態勢，大膽、二膽撤兵對台灣影響不大，卻可以創造友善的談判氣氛。廖萬隆說，開放「陸客72小時免簽證」，是金門當地居民全力發展觀光所提出的要求。廖萬隆認為，我們應該先把和平的種子埋到土裡，不要再以軍隊、飛彈彼此對峙。
