陸生來台教育部核定金大可招73人

The Ministry of Education (MOE) publicly confirmed the quota of mainland students to enroll at National Quemoy University (NQU). The admission quota for universities in Taiwan accepting mainland students is 1123, with 877 for vocational and technical colleges, for a grand total of 2000. Besides these 2000 prospective students, the offshore island special case allows Kinmen to recruit 73 (64 undergraduates and 9 graduates), with a 68 admission quota (63 undergraduates and 5 graduates) for the National Penghu University of Science and Technology.
　 教育部9日公布核定100學年度大學校院招收陸生來台名額，大學體系1123名、技職校院體系共877名，兩者合計2000名。其中，離島專案申請部分，金門大學可招收陸生73名（學士班64名、碩士班9名）、澎湖科技大學可招收陸生68名（學士班63名、碩士班5名）。

The MOE stated that the quota is decided by a commission whose members are composed of social figures with a sense of justice; scholars from all fields; representatives of colleges and universities, and related departments in the government. The specified quota is confirmed after inquiry is made into the teaching resources of the various schools, the recruitment quota, and the experience of international and cross-strait interaction.
　 教育部表示，這項名額分配是教育部邀請社會公正人士、學者專家、大專校院代表、相關部會組成委員會，針對各校教學資源、招生名額和國際及兩岸交流經驗等項目進行審查，最終核定以上名額。

According to the data of the MOE, in the first wave of opening recruitment from mainland China, the highest admission quota goes to Feng Chia University. Following would be National Taiwan University with a quota of 73 students. The MOE reminded the involved parties that the laws applicable (1) to mainland students are different from that of foreign students and overseas Chinese students. Their political, social, and cultural perceptions may also be quite different. The ministry thereby appealed to the schools to establish a mechanism for student guidance specifically designed for the mainland students.
據教育部的資料，首波開放招收陸生名額最多的是私立逢甲大學，共74名，其次是國立台灣大學73名。教育部也提醒，陸生適用的法令與外籍生、僑生不同，其政治、社會文化觀念可能也有差異；呼籲獲准招生學校要依招生計畫建立學生輔導機制。
