打造運動島500輛公共自行車啟用

For promoting energy saving and carbon reduction and for creating a sports island, Kinmen County Government had procured (1) 500 public bicycles for Kinmen, which have the functions such as 6 gears derailleur (2) and LED lamp. These bicycles began to be put to use in the activity "A Thousand of People Biking in Kinmen County Happily" yesterday, able to be ridden formally.
　 金門縣政府推動節能減碳、打造運動島，採購五百輛具六段變速、LED車燈等功能的金門公共自行車，昨日在「金門縣千人鐵馬樂活遊」活動中啟用，正式上路。

These public bicycles are all in vivid, showy (3) and bright orange. Also, the tourist mascots (4)-Hoopoe (戴勝鳥) and Blue-tailed Bee-eater-are used as the image themes. Tourists can borrow these bicycles for free at 12 stations and scenic resorts.
　 公共自行車車身採活潑、顯眼的亮橘色，並以觀光吉祥物─戴勝鳥、栗喉蜂虎做為意象主題，在車站、景點等十二處免費提供遊客借用。

The county government's Transportation and Tourism Bureau pointed out: Kinmen has mild terrain, (5) beautiful road landscape, and fewer people and vehicles; in Kinmen, travelling by car or wandering by bicycle will be the most relaxing way to travel, which has the least pressure. In order to promote travelling Kinmen by bicycle, Kinmen County Government has provided 500 Kinmen County's brand-new public bicycles (6 gears) for people to borrow. Also, the activation ceremony was hosted by County Government Chief Secretary Lu, Jhih-Huei yesterday morning. The bicycles began to be put to use formally.
　 縣府交通旅遊局指出，金門地形平緩，道路景觀優美再加上人車不多，開車旅遊或騎自行車慢遊金門是最輕鬆，最沒有壓力的旅遊。金門縣政府為推廣騎乘自行車遊玩金門，提供全新五百輛金門縣公共自行車(六段變速)供借用，並在昨日上午由縣府主任秘書盧志輝主持啟用儀式，正式上路。

In conjunction (6) with the event "2011 A Thousand of People Biking in Kinmen County Happily" on the "National Bike Day" on May 1, 2011, the county government also held the public bicycle activation activity. Meanwhile, bike enthusiasts were called to experience Kinmen's public bicycles together.
　 縣府結合一百年五月一日「全國自行車日」─「2011金門縣千人鐵馬樂活遊活動」併同辦理公共自行車啟用活動，同時號召自行車愛好者一同來體驗金門公共自行車。

At present, the county government has set up 9 stations for people to borrow these bicycles at important traffic nodes and scenic resorts, ex. Jincheng Station, Shanwai Station, Forestry Institute, Lieyu Township Cultural Hall, and others. Also, it had coordinated with Kinmen National Park to set up three stations at Jhaishan Tunnel, Jinshui Elementary School and Shuangli Wetlands Nature Center, which are under the park's jurisdiction (7). Twelve places in total have been provided for people to borrow these bicycles for free.
　 目前縣府於金城車站、山外車站、林務所、烈嶼鄉文化館等重要交通節點及觀光景點設置自行車借用站計九處，同時協調金門國家公園管理處於所轄景點翟山坑道、金水國小及雙鯉湖自然溼地中心等三處，合計共十二處提供民眾免費借用。

Kinmen's brand-new public bicycles are all in vivid, showy and bright orange. Also, Kinmen's tourist mascots-Hoopoe and Blue-tailed Bee-eater-are used as the image themes, symbolic of the joyful, sunshiny, ecological and environmentally-friendly image of Kinmen's bicycles. This batch of brand-new public bicycles has lower-span frames, suitable for people of all ages. Also, they are equipped with front and rear LED lamps, stainless-steeled baskets, locks, bells, and so on.
　 而全新的金門公共自行車車身採活潑、顯眼的亮橘色，並以金門觀光吉祥物─戴勝鳥、栗喉蜂虎作為意象主題，象徵著喜樂、陽光、生態及環保的金門單車意象。此批全新的公共自行車為低跨型的車架，適合各年齡層使用需求，並配有前後LED車燈、不銹鋼菜籃、車鎖、車鈴等裝備。
