●Magistrate Li Invites Tourists to Win Zhuangyuan Cake On Moon Festival
●李縣長邀遊客來金博狀元餅
Kinmen's annual customary festival named Mid-Autumn Cake Gambling Game will start on September 8th and continue for 15 days. Ninety-nine tables will be available for the thousands of people expected to attend the opening ceremony. A sedan (1) worth 400,000 NT dollars will be given as the prize for Mooncake Gambling Champion in the final scheduled right upon the Mid-Autumn Festival. Magistrate Li, Wo-Shi convened a press conference in Taipei on August 25th, showing up in a Zhuang-Yuan costume. He introduced the origin of the Zhuang-Yuan Cake, and invited domestic and foreign tourists to visit Kinmen to enjoy the game and gamble for the Zhuang-Yuan Cake.
金門年度民俗盛事「中秋博狀元餅」活動，將於9月8日起舉行15天，開幕賽有99桌共千人參與，中秋節當天決賽將送出最大的「狀元獎」-價值40萬元的轎車一輛。金門縣長李沃士8月25日在台北市召開記者會，以狀元郎的古裝造型亮相，說明博餅的來由，並邀請國內外遊客一起到金門作客「博狀元餅」。
●KKL Signs Mainland Sales Contract With Subsidiary of A Listed Company
●金酒簽署大陸經銷新合約
The board of Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc. (KKL) revised and passed an internal regulation, changing the Mainland sale contract unit. The KKL also announced that they had signed a sales contract with Cai-Rui Trade (Shanghai) Co., which is the subsidiary of Firich Enterprises Co., Ltd, a listed company in Taiwan. You, Hong-Cheng (游鴻程), deputy general manager of KKL, explained the main purpose of the new regulation which is to expand the network of liquor sales in mainland China. With this new strategy, he hoped that liquor sales would achieve widespread (2) success, and that counterfeits (3) would be banned and a satisfactory commercial order would be built in China.
　 金酒公司董事會8月初修正通過一項辦法，變更大陸地區的經銷商合約單位，並與上市公司伍豐所屬之「采瑞貿易(上海)有限公司」簽訂經銷合約。金酒公司副總經理游鴻程說，這項新辦法的主要精神在擴大金酒在大陸的行銷網路，希望能「遍地開花」，同時有效打假，建立商業秩序。

●Veterans Return to Kinmen to Mourn Their Compatriots in the 52nd Anniversary of the August 23rd Artillery Battle
●《八二三戰役五十二週年》參戰官兵重返金門追悼戰友
On the eve of the 52nd Anniversary of the August 23rd Artillery Battle, more than seventy veterans took a flight from Taiwan to Kinmen to participate in the memorial ceremony for their fallen compatriots (4). Zhang, Qing-Xiang (張慶翔), the Commander of Kinmen Defense Command, greeted them at the airport. Zhang affirmed that the ROC could not savor (5) her one-hundredth anniversary without the heroic August 23rd Artillery Battle. Magistrate Li hosted a welcome banquet for the veterans and awarded the ten outstanding Kinmen militia members from different townships.
八二三戰役五十二週年前夕，七十餘位昔日參戰官兵，從台灣搭機重返金門，參加紀念公祭儀式，追悼陣亡袍澤。金門防衛指揮部指揮官張慶翔特別到機場接機，並在公祭儀式中表示，沒有八二三，就沒有中華民國建國百年紀念。縣長李沃士除設宴款待這群老兵，並表揚各鄉鎮十位績優自衛隊員。

●DPP Kinmen Headquarters Appeal To the Legislative Yuan: Taiwan-Kinmen Flight Tickets are Inadequate and Expensive
●台金機票貴又少民進黨金門縣黨部赴立院陳情
Since there is hardly any alternative besides airplane transporting to and from Taiwan and Kinmen, and with the inadequate availability of flight tickets, which are too expensive, Weng, Ming-Zhi (翁明志), head of DPP Kinmen Headquarters, and National Party Representative Chen, Cang-Jiang (陳滄江) visited the Legislative Yuan to give a full account of the drastic (6) situation that occurred in Kinmen on August 27th. They convened a press conference with legislator Cai, Huang-Lang (蔡煌瑯), to accuse the Civil Aeronautics Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, of forming a monopoly (7), and thus sacrificing the rights and interests of local Kinmen residents. Weng and Chen also specifically criticized the rule under which consumers need to buy flight tickets three days before the actual travel day. Such a rule, they believe, brings unnecessary trouble and inconvenience to the masses.
　 金門往來台灣沒有其他替代交通工具，只能搭飛機，而金門航空票價貴又沒機位，民進黨金門縣黨部主委翁明志、全國黨代表陳滄江等人，8月27日前往立法院陳情，與民進黨立委蔡煌瑯共同召開記者會，指控民航局包庇業者聯合壟斷，犧牲金門人權益，並抨擊業者訂票須提前三天購票的規定，增加民眾困擾。
