●Cross-strait Kinmen Fellows Associations Annual Meeting Held in Fuzhou
●兩岸金門同鄉會年會在福州舉行
The third annual meeting for all Kinmen Fellows Associations across-straits was held on September 10th in Fuzhou City, Mainland China. It was attended by twenty-seven representatives from fifteen different Kinmen Fellows Associations in Taiwan, who arrived in Fuzhou via mini-three-links or direct flights, as well as representatives from eight different Jinmen Compatriots Associations in Fujian Province, China. All representatives subscribed (1) their names to the "Annual Meeting Minutes (2)"- a resolution reached in the meeting that changed this annual occasion into a "biennial" (3) one. Representatives from the Kinmen County Government also invited all Jinmen Compatriots Associations to meet in October of next year to participate in the "World Kinmen Day" activity in Kinmen.
第三屆兩岸金門同鄉會年會9月10日在大陸福州市舉行，旅台15個金門同鄉會共27位代表，分別透過小三通或直航趕抵會場，與大陸福建省8個金門同胞聯誼會代表，共同簽署一份「年會紀要」，決議該項年會將改為「雙年會」。縣府代表也在會中邀請各金胞聯明年10月組團回金門參與「世界金門日」相關活動。

●Kinmen Shines in the International World Heritage Tourism Expo
●國際世遺旅遊博覽會金門大放異彩
The third International World Heritage Tourism Expo was held on September 16, 2010, in Macau. It was the first time Kinmen County was invited to participate. Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau Li, Xi-Long (李錫隆), and his subordinates (4) took part in the Expo and successfully brought Kinmen to the forefront (5) of international attention with its unique character and features, such as south Fujian culture, diversified (6) ecological landscapes, and relics of war.
　 國際第三屆世界遺產旅遊博覽會於9月16日在澳門盛大舉行，金門縣首次獲邀參展，文化局長李錫隆特別率員與會，成功將金門的閩南文化、多樣的生態景觀與戰地遺跡推向國際舞台。

●Over Ten Presidents Meet in Kinmen to Share Ideas About Development of University Island
●十多所大學校長齊聚金門 為大學島獻策
On September 16, 2010, the Kinmen County Government invited the presidents of over ten universities in Taiwan to participate in a meeting to discuss the promotion and reality of "Kinmen University Island" policy. County magistrate Li, Wo-Shi, said the county will assist each school to settle the urgent matter of student housing. He also called on the camaraderie (7) of each school to create a "University Island" in Kinmen.
金門縣政府9月16日邀集國內10多所大專院校校長在金門舉辦座談會，為推動、實現「金門大學島」共商良策。縣長李沃士表示，縣府將協助各校解決最迫切的學生住宿問題，他也呼籲各大學共同努力，為「金門大學島」催生。

●Wu-Qiu Villagers Angry Over Being Listed in the Nuclear Waste Disposal Site
●烏坵入列核廢料處置場址村民怒吼
A Site-selection Squad (8) belonging to the State-owned Enterprise Commission (SEC), Economic Affairs Committee, recently reached a conclusion via voting regarding the 'potential site" for low-level radioactive waste disposal, of which Wu-Qiu Township was among them. The DPP Kinmen Headquarters displayed opposition to this decision. Wu-Qiu Township mayor, Chen, Xing-Qiu (陳興坵), and the township representative chairperson, Cai, Fu-Chun (蔡福春), also expressed strong opposition, calling on the central authority to face-up to (9) the islander's right to life, saying not to pollute the pure and simple nature of the island.
　 經濟部國營會選址小組委員會，日前票選出低放射性廢棄物最終處置設施「潛在場址」，其中金門縣烏坵鄉小坵村也被列為場址之一。民主進步黨金門縣黨部14日表達反對立場。烏坵鄉長陳興坵、鄉代會主席蔡福春也表示強烈反對，並呼籲中央正視離島島民的生存權，不要污染這塊純樸小島。
