中華電信MOD離島同步開播

Chunghwa Telecom's MOD service was launched simultaneously (1) on offshore islands including Kinmen, Matzu, and Penghu starting on April 7th. Such a key step will enable offshore island residents to stay up with (2) the pace in Taiwan, and thus lead the entire Taiwan region into an age of MOD digitalization.
中華電信MOD服務，7日起在離島金門、馬祖和澎湖地區同步開播，讓離島民眾跟上台灣本島腳步，也使全台灣地區進入MOD數位生活時代。

The opening ceremony to celebrate the launching of the MOD service was held at Chunghwa Telecom's Kinmen Branch, and hosted by the vice-president of Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. Zhang, Kun-Chang (張坤昌). VIP guests from various circles were invited to participate in the opening ceremony to witness this historical moment of launching of the video on demand service in Kinmen.
這項MOD金門開播典禮7日上午在中華電信金門營運處舉行，由中華電信總公司協理張坤昌主持，邀請各界貴賓共同見證金門邁向數位隨選視訊的歷史一刻。

Zhang, Kun-Chang stated that Chunghwa Telecom has committed itself to the construction of broadband (3) network for its cooperation with the country's digitalization infrastructure construction. Concerning the construction in the offshore region, special thanks should be expressed to the county government and legislator Chen's assistance in improving the digital lag (4) of the offshore region. Zhang added that the decision of starting the MOD service on offshore island shows the earnest sincerity of Chunghwa Telecom to serve the interests of offshore island residents. It anticipated that the network may replace roads, provide zero time difference (5) digital service, and minimize the gap between urban and rural areas.
張坤昌表示，中華電信為配合國家數位化建設，在寬頻網路建設方面不遺餘力；對離島地區的建設，要特別感謝縣府團隊及陳立委的協助，爭取建設彌補數位落差。張坤昌表示，選在建國100年在離島開播MOD服務，展現中華電信服務離島民眾最大誠意，期待以網路代替馬路，提供零時差數位服務，縮短城鄉落差。
