易引發自燃12品牌除溼機應停使用

Due to the continued occurrence of spontaneous combustion (1) caused by dehumidifiers (2) recently, the Kinmen Country Fire Department calls on consumers to check the brand and model of their dehumidifiers, so that they do not continue to use defective (3) dehumidifiers that have already been recalled by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology & Inspection (BSMI). If consumers find that their dehumidifiers are listed among the 39 models of the 12 brands-Datung, Sanyo, TECO, Sampo, Westing House, Gibson (Renault), Frigidaire (Renault), Kolin, Whirlpool, Widetech, B&Q (Airforce) and Fujimaru, they should immediately cease usage and contact the service hotline of the brand to inspect and replace the control board. 由於近來仍有消費者在使用除濕機時引發自燃意外，為避免消費者仍持續使用經標準檢驗局已公告召回之瑕疵除濕機而不自知，金門縣消防局再次籲請消費者務必檢視家中除濕機之廠牌及機型，如大同、三洋、東元、聲寶、西屋、吉普生(雷諾)、富及第(雷諾)、歌林、惠而浦、威技、B&Q（Airforce）及Fujimaru等計12個品牌共39個型號，請立即停止使用並儘速聯絡各品牌服務專線辦理檢修更換控制基板作業。詳細資訊請至消防局商品安全資訊網(http://safety.bsmi.gov.tw/)查詢「商品召回」訊息。

The Fire Department points out that consumers should check if there is a "commodity safety label" when selecting dehumidifiers, and check if the manufacturer's name and ad dress, electric specifications (e.g. voltage, power consumption) and model are clearly indicated. If consumers have questions regarding whether or not a commodity passed inspections, they can call the BSMI (toll-free service line 0800-007-123). Consumers should pay attention to the following matters when using dehumidifiers:
消防局指出，民眾選購及使用除濕機時，應注意是否貼有「商品安全標章」，並檢視廠商名稱及地址、電器規格（如：電壓、消耗功率）及型號等各項標示是否清楚，如對商品是否經過檢驗合格有疑問時，可洽該局詢問（免付費服務電話 0800-007-123），使用除濕機時並須特別注意下列事項：

1.First, read the user's manual and follow its instructions; pay special attention to the warnings and notices listed in the manual.
1.先檢視產品使用說明書，依使用說明書規定方法使用，並應特別注意產品使用說明書所列之警告及注意事項。

2.Dehumidifiers must not be used in closed closets or changing rooms. Do not cover the dehumidifier with clothing in case of a fire accident.
2.除濕機不可使用於密閉之衣櫥或更衣間，使用時不可將衣物覆蓋在除濕機上除濕，以免發生火災意外。

3.Dehumidifiers should be kept at a suitable distance from walls, furniture and drapes (4) to prevent it from overheating due to poor ventilation (5).
3.除濕機使用時，應與牆壁、家俱及窗簾保持適當之距離，以避免通風不良造成機體散熱不易。

4.Dehumidifiers should not be used when no one is at home or while sleeping at night. If users are away from home for a long period of time, turn the power off and pull out the plug.
4.除濕機應避免於無人看管或晚上睡覺時使用，若長時間離開使用場所時，應關閉電源，並將插頭拔離電源插座。

5.The filter should be cleaned or replaced periodically to prevent insufficient wind inflow caused by dust. This will cause other parts to operate under higher temperatures, affecting its dehumidifying performance and adding risk.
5.濾網應定期清洗或更換，避免因灰塵附著而使進風量不足，進而造成內部零件處於較高溫度環境下運轉，影響其除濕能力且增加危險性。

6.Regularly clean the outer case of the dehumidifier and clean or replace the filter according to the user's manual. Remember to turn off the power and pull out the plug before starting. When cleaning the outer case, avoid getting water into the dehumidifier to avoid any danger; the filter should be dried before being put back into the dehumidifier.
6.請定期依使用說明書之清潔保養方法擦拭除濕機外殼與清洗或更換濾網，清潔保養前，切記先將電源插頭拔離插座；擦拭外殼時，應防止水滲入電器內部，以避免危險；濾網清洗後應先將其晾乾後再置入除濕機內使用。

7.If the dehumidifier malfunctions (6), send it to the designated repair station for maintenance. Do not disassemble (7) it and attempt to repair by yourself.
7.若有故障現象發生，應將除濕機送至廠商指定之維修站維修，切勿自行拆開修理。

The Fire Department once again reminds consumers that paying a little more attention will prevent an accident from occurring. All electronic appliances inspected by the BSMI and have a "commodity safety label" meet national standards or international standards of the product, but users must still be aware of reminders and correct usage described in the user's manual to ensure their safety.
