金大與日本沖繩大學締盟

National Quemoy University (NQU) is extending its cooperative role to Northeastern Asia. On June 20th, NQU president Li, Jin-Zhen (李金振) led a group of thirty students and staff who flew directly to Okinawa, Japan to conduct an academic exchange with Okinawa University. The two sides signed a Letter of Intent agreeing that, under the principles of equality and mutual benefit, both schools will be devoted to substantive (1) academic exchange and mutual research aid in the coming five years.
國立金門大學將合作觸角延伸至東北亞，20日上午校長李金振率領師生一行三十人，搭機前往日本沖繩，與沖繩大學進行學術交流，雙方並簽訂學術交流合作意向書，兩校協議暫以五年為期，將依平等互惠原則，進行實質的學術交流與研究互助。

The Letter of Intent was signed jointly by NQU President, Li and Okinawa University President, Kato Akihiko (加藤彰彥), in the presence of Zhang, Xin-Shi (粘信士), the Director of Naha Branch, Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan, and other distinguished guests.
該項意向書是由國立金門大學校長李金振和日本沖繩大學校長加藤彰彥共同簽署，我國駐日經濟文化代表處那霸分處處長粘信士等貴賓亦在場觀禮。

Director Zhang, Xin-Shi said that Okinawa University and NQU belong to the "island universities" as both schools, situated on an island, are similar in size and education policy. He said that he was glad to witness the signing of this agreement. He is looking forward to the benefits of promoting cultural and academic exchanges between two schools, as well as two cities.
粘信士表示，沖大與金大同屬島嶼大學，兩校規模及教育方針相近，對兩校達成簽訂學術交流協議感到可喜可賀。期待兩校今後為增進台沖兩地學術文化交流作出貢獻。
