金廈旅遊具互補相乘效果

In order to promote the Kinmen One-Day Package Tour, government representatives of both Kinmen County and Xiamen City traveled to four major cities of central mainland China: Nanchang, Changsha, Wuhan, and Chongqing, promoting trips to Kinmen. During a media interview, County Magistrate Li, Wo-Shi (李沃士) said that the less restrictive cross-strait policy, in terms of travel affairs, has brought many benefits to both Kinmen and Xiamen. As a matter of fact, instead of being competitive, the two places should work together compensating for each other while paving the way for their local tourism industries. Magistrate Li also pointed out that there is still room for Kinmen to form a better and a more unique tourism strategy.
為推廣金門一日遊，金門與廈門市政府連袂前往南昌、長沙、武漢、重慶等大陸中部四個城市推介旅遊行程。縣長李沃士接受媒體訪問時表示，兩岸旅遊政策逐步放寬，為金廈兩地旅遊帶來利多，而金廈兩門旅遊發展可以互補而不競爭，且有彼此相乘效果。不過，李沃士也表示，金門必需型塑自我特色。

In addition, Magistrate Li said that Kinmen is like the Taiwan version of Gulangyu Island in the 21st century; therefore a clear line of differentiation should be drawn between Kinmen and Xiamen when developing tourism where each region creates its own special features and unique characteristics. He further pointed out that the former "battlefield Kinmen" is able to offer intriguing (1) battlefield experience with a deep sense of historical profoundness. Recently, the county government has been working on activating the former idle military camp sites. Hopefully, after mixing up war histories of Kinmen with the local artistic elements, the people of Kinmen can more effectively make their appeals of peace, and finally transform Kinmen from a mysterious battlefield into a sanctuary (2) of peace. The county government is also proposing to the central government to make Islets Dadan and Erdan accessible to the general public. If this plan works out, more richness and diversity would definitely be added to Kinmen's tourism resources.
李沃士表示，金門稱得上是二十一世紀的鼓浪嶼，金廈之間的發展必須有所區隔，尤其旅遊必需型塑自我特色。李沃士指出，金門過去是戰地，有歷史背景作支撐，軍事體驗別具吸引力，目前縣府正積極推動碉堡空間活化再利用，期待融入藝術元素後，讓金門的戰役史蹟更能傳達人民的和平訴求，讓金門從神秘戰地蛻變為和平聖地。正在積極向中央爭取的大二膽島開放觀光，也將讓金門的旅遊更具可看性。
